Irvine Restaurant Week Picks - January 10-16th
January 10th marks the start of Irvine Restaurant Week. During Restaurant Week each of the participating restaurants will feature a Prix Fixe menu that typically includes a drink, appetizer, main course and dessert for the price of a full entree and drink.
Each restaurant’s menu is different and some are better than others. Below are my recommendations based on price, menu and reputation of the restaurant.

Slater’s 50/50
Slater’s 50/50 has the best value for the money. For $15, you get our choice of appetizer, entree, dessert and a drink. This deal is about the same price as ordering a burger and a drink. Lake Forest(Irvine) location only. See the Slater’s Restaurant Week menu below. See my review of Slater’s 50/50

This is one of my all time favorite restaurants for both food and service. For $40, the Winery’s Menu is a really good deal. See my review of The Winery Restaurant.

Il Fornaio
This is a great Italian restaurants, very classy and authentic. I like their Restaurant Week choices.

Cucina Enoteca
Cucina Enoteca is offering a particularly good menu for Restaurant Week. I really like their grilled octopus and braised lamb ragu.

McCormick and Shmick’s is an all around great seafood restaurant and their Irvine Restaurant Week menu includes lobster.

I really enjoyed Slater’s creations on Friday
I really want to check out the Winery Restaurant… when I saw it being built in Newport Beach I was instantly hooked..
and now hearing your thoughts I’m more encouraged.. How many will you be hitting this week? =)
Hi Jamie, I can’t wait for The Winery Restaurant’s new locaiton in Newport Beach. Great location. Since it is January, I am only giving myself only one meal out a weekday, so limiting it to two restaurants. Considering Newport RW is next week, I have to behave
