For the 4th year, the Golden Foodie Awards has recognized some of Orange County’s best restaurants, chefs, bartenders . The golden foodie awards allows the public to nominate and vote for their favorites like best wine list, best sushi, and best steak. A couple of the categories are nominated and voted by the Golden Foodie Awards guild, like best chef.

Winners of the awards are given a Golden Foodie Statue, which is made with pewter and plated in 14k gold. They are heavy and look like the Oscars. The winners proudly display their awards at their restaurants. This is a premiere award that has been improving in reputation and notoriety every year. This food blogger will note that the award ceremony has hit a positive tipping point for both legitimacy and recognition. Expect bigger things to come in coming years.
