2013 OC Fair New Foods
The 2013 OC Fair was my annual pilgrimage of gluttony and I gained a few extra pounds to show for it.This year I got try several new items that are unique to the 2013 OC Fair including the Bacon Bombs and Boar on a stick! Aside from food I enjoyed the butterfly garden, wine garden and saw one week old piglets! Tom’s Foodie Blog won a couple awards at the 2013 OC Fair:

Chicken Charlie’s
Chicken Charlie Waffle Dog. Hot Dog wrapped in a waffle casing! They actually have a machine that wraps the waffle around the dog.

Chicken Charlie Bacon Wrapped Deep Fried Pickles – Because Charlie couldn’t leave a good thing alone
Bacon Wrapped Deep Fried Pickles come on a stick and have a nice crunchy texture on the bacon.
Bacon Wrapped Deep Fried Cookie Dough. Soft in the center and crispy on the outside.
Bacon Affair
Bacon-a-Fair Bacon Gouda Fries. These were some of my favorite at the fair.
Bacon A-Fair Wild Boar On Stick. Just like having very thick cut bacon on a stick. It has a slightly sweet flavor.
Bacon A-Fair Bacon Bombs – Deep Fried Cheese Wrapped in Bacon. This is my top recommendation. Cheeese+Bacon = Win
Grant Burger
GrantBurger Ghost Chile Burger – Not as spicy as you think, the Jalepenos had more of a kick then the sauce

I hope you didn’t gain a couple pounds from looking at these pictures! I know had to skip a couple lunches, double up on exercise, and eat a couple extra bowls of oatmeal to clean out the arteries. Although the fair comes by once a year, so live it up and try the new food items.

Gastronomic Misbehavin at the OC Fair – 2012
No extra pounds from reading this and seeing the pics, but my stomach is growling.
Oh MY!!! I can’t choose which is my favorite, I wanna try it all!

Wow!.. I think I got hungry and full at the same time! they looked very delicious!
You guys have all the fun. How come my job does not include all this delicious food.
This makes me very anxious for the Arizona State Fair in October!

They say you can read the menu even if you are on a diet. I think my arteries just got a lot more clogged.
The glazed doughnut sloppy Joe was the most interesting food item. I got hungry looking at all that fair food!
I can’t even look at that food. It looks good but I would never eat most of it.
I found something at the OC Fair this year that was NOT better with bacon. So sad! It was the Bacon Rootbeer at Bacon Affair. It sure looked pretty but its no bueno.
wow, we Canadians are pretty tame next to you guys. I have never heard of any of this kind of thing! We do like our bacon though!

all of my favorite foods here on one page, yummy!! the fair is in town here for the next two weeks gota get over there this week end.
I think the hotdogs were probably the weirdest. Not sure I would try them unless I were in a courageous mood, lol…

Looks amazing. Our fair is coming here soon, but we don’t have food that great. Wonder what crazy concept they will fry up this year?!
